Often we see Beauty in other people, but we are not able to see our own beauty! I believe we are all sent here for a reason and that there is a significant meaning to our lives and existence in this world. If you are able to follow your inner guidance and use your unique talents towards finding your special purpose, this will bring you lots of joy and fulfillment. The road of discovering your mission & real talents is a challenging one and a process that can often take years.
When you talk about having a mission, many people feel a sense of panic. “I don’t know what my mission is” Like something is wrong with them as they haven’t found their mission yet.
What helps is to substitute the word mission for the word curiosity, what makes you curious? Which topic truly interests you? We are all born with our unique talents, but often hiding them & afraid of showing them.
Are you aware of what your real talents are? What do you really enjoy doing? Are you able to write down your top 5 talents?
A few days ago I was talking with a friend, she told me she could not think of having a true passion for anything! I asked her, which activities, did you really liked doing as a young child? Often the things we like doing & are passionate about, are our talents! We feel energised. Yet we may have forgotten what our passions and talents are.
Six years ago when I turned 29 I was standing on a big crossroad. I was blocked & not happy with my job and was dealing with doubts, for example on which direction my life should go. I have always been a huge pleaser and felt that I did not know who I really was and what truly motivated me. One thing I knew for sure though was that my mind & heart were not on the same page & that a big change was inevitable.
I would like to give you 6 questions which helped me to start to find my purpose. I advise you to write each of the questions down on a plain piece of paper and take some me- time to answer them.
What makes you happy. You could think of events, activities, hobbies etc What makes you feel good about yourself? What are your deepest values? Where do you stand for? What were some challenges, difficulties and hardships you’ve overcome or are in the process of overcoming? How did you do it? Who inspires you most? This could be anyone you know or do not know, family, friends, authors, artists, leaders. Which qualities inspire you, in each person? Given your talents, passions and values. How could you use these resources to serve, to help, to contribute? to people, beings, causes, organization, environment, planet, etc.
Just be yourself & start shining! Have a great week!
